ABB Porvoo Ground-Mounted Solar Power Plant

In 2021, Finnwind Oy delivered a 250 kWp ground-mounted solar power plant to ABB in Porvoo. The plant was equipped with Tier 1 manufacturer Suntech’s solar panels and installed using the ballast-based FS-A1 mounting system, which allowed for excellent area coverage without obstructing the landscape.

Compared to traditional, taller mounting systems, the FS-A1 installation system enables a much faster ground installation of the solar power plant, as it eliminates the need for lift equipment and scaffolding. Additionally, when using the FS-A1 installation system, snow sliding and accumulation in front of the rows is reduced compared to traditional, taller mounting racks.
